Online German Dictionaries and Translation

dictionaries have a remarkable quality, the results of automated translations turn out rather funny than useful -
especially if you already know some German. If you need a longer sentence translated, try to break it up into
several short ones. This will give you better results with the "translation robots".

The Maschler Dictionary
- The Maschler German-English Dictionary at Exeter uses the so called "agrep" program to search a word list
currently comprising just over 110,000 words
- It uses some kind of fuzzy logic to give you many alternatives and variations of your word.
